

Optimal Energy is the largest energy comparison platform in Poland, helping nearly 2M users a year compare offers from electricity, gas, and other utility providers.
The project's main goal was to improve the functionality of the existing comparison tool and expand it with new features, such as an interactive map of electric vehicle charging stations. I was responsible for the UI layer, working from wireframes prepared by another designer on the team, and designed both the desktop and mobile versions of the website from scratch.

Working within a two-person design team at mohi.to agency, I was responsible for the UI layer, working from wireframes prepared by the other designer on the team.
The core challenge was translating a fairly complex comparison tool, covering multiple utility types and providers, into a clear, visually consistent interface across both desktop and mobile. I focused on making comparison results easy to scan, so users could evaluate offers across electricity, gas, and other media without feeling overwhelmed by the amount of data on screen.
For the new EV charging map feature, I designed a visual style consistent with the rest of the site, ensuring it felt like a natural extension of the platform rather than an added-on tool.

The result is a visually refreshed comparison platform that better reflects Optimal Energy's brand while supporting an expanded set of features.
The updated UI gave the comparison tool a clearer, more modern look across both desktop and mobile, while the new charging map extended the platform's value beyond price comparison alone.
